Tips for Driver When Meet a Flooding


What would you do when driving car and meet a flooding? Here are some tips which
can help you:


When the car meet a small flooding:
1. Check the ABS system works
2. Check the condition of tie rod and ball joint
3. Check the condition of wheel bearings
4. Check the condition of brake system

When the car meet a medium flooding:

1. Make sure the machine can be spun by rotating adjustable with lock.
2. Check the cylinder by opening the spark plugs, clean with water and in a way start engine with spark plug condition is open all.
3. Check the condition of the engine and transmission oil, when mixed with water, replace with a new.
4. Check for completeness of electrical machines, such as starter, alternator, and the
ECU. If there is water, clean and dry.
5. Open the exhaust and air filter, if there is clean water and dry.


When the car meet a heavy flooding:

1. Check the appropriate components in the category of mild and moderate flooding,
and check the components that are in the cabin.
2. Check all the ECU, combination meter, tape, relays, and fuse, and all the connectors
inside the cabin. Pastika all free of water, then wash and dry it using a blower or hair dryer.
3. Bring the car to the garage in order to get further examination.
